    Dave Obee has compiled seven books for Canadian genealogists, and has given more than 200 talks at seminars and society meetings since 1997. He has been researching his own family history since 1978. He was the president of the Federation of East European Family History Societies from 2004 to 2007, and is the federation's webmaster. He was a member of the advisory panel for Ancestry.ca .
